Obituary for Blair Benton

Benton, Blair C., 63, of Riverview Fl., passed away on September 2, 2017. Blair was born on September 1, 1954 in Charleston, SC to James and Jacqueline Benton. He graduated from St. John’s High School on John’s Island, SC. He proudly served the USS J.F. Kennedy, CV67. He went on to become an aircraft mechanic at Pensacola NARF/NADEP. Blair had a unique outlook on life that he expressed in a colorful manner. He passed this trait down to his daughter, Adrianne. He was a life time member of the NRA and a dog and cat lover in denial. Blair was a loving husband, daddy, papa, and brother. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Claire; daughter Adrianne (Frank) Galvin; brother, Rodney (Janette) Benton; sisters, Patricia (Art) Benton, Michelle (Ed) Shank, and Sharon (David) Helps; and grandchildren, Claire Noss, Bradley Galvin, and Benton Noss. There will be a graveside service on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 10am at Serenity Meadows Memorial Park, Garden of Peace. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the NRA or your local Hospice.
