Obituary for Wayne Tanner

Wayne Tanner
Wayne Lester Tanner 65 of Wimauma, FL passed away Monday, August 14, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family. Wayne worked with the family business as a second generation Tropical Fish Farmer at Lester and Sons Tropical Fish for 20 plus years. He eventually took the business over and the farm became Wayne Tanners Tropical Fish where he raised and produced award winning tropical fish such as the long fin Rosy Barb, Hi fin Sunset, and the Hi fin Red Wag Platy. Wayne took a lot of pride in the quality of his fish. He was a very determined and hard worker. He loved the farm, it has been his pride and joy. Wayne enjoyed his rides to Bahia Beach and Simmons Park to watch the sunsets. He also loved snorkeling Floridas freshwater springs. He took pride in raising his daughter, blessed with great son in laws and 3 wonderful grandchildren and loved all so much. He is survived by his wife Linda L. Tanner of 43 years; two daughters Holly(Michael, Jr.) Bunting and Shannon(Stuart) Powe; brother Gary Tanner; three grandchildren Savana Bunting, Katelyn Powe, and Wyatt Powe. Wayne is predeceased by his parents Lester and Pauline Tanner, daughter Michelle L. Tanner and a brother Kevin Tanner. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00AM, Saturday, August 19, 2017 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, 106 – 11th Avenue NE, Ruskin, FL 33570. Interment will follow after Mass to Fellowship Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested in Wayne’s name to St. Anne Catholic Church.
