Obituary for Walter Regan
Walter “Walt” Adrian Regan, 90, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 4th in Brandon, Florida. He was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania in 1926 and had two sisters, Ann Regan DeMaio (deceased) and Marguerite Regan Fanning. He served as a Corporal in the U.S. Army from 1945-1946. In 1949, he and his wife, Marie, moved to Miami, Florida where they settled, raised a family and were long time faithful members of St. Brendan’s Catholic Parish. Walt worked as an accountant for Eastern Airlines from 1955 until his retirement in 1985. He was a member of the Miami Elks Club for over 20 years and in 1994 was selected as "Elk of the Year". Walt was known to his family and friends as a kind and caring person full of wit and wisdom with an engaging personality. He was a devoted husband to his wife of 68 years, Marie Brown Regan, and a loving father to his eight children: Michael Walter Regan, Patrick James Regan, Dennis Brendan Regan, Brian Joseph Regan, Marguerite (Peggy) Regan Martin, Diane Regan Goss, Kevin Lee Regan, Terrence Sean Regan. He looked forward to spending time with his twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He will be greatly missed by all. Walt's family will be holding a Memorial Service to honor his life on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, 6919 Providence Road, Riverview, Florida. The family will be greeting guests from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at The Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
