Obituary for Aracelia Gonzalez

Aracelia Gonzalez
Aracelia Gonzalez, age 75, died on Sunday, March 26, 2017 in Tampa, FL. From her birth in Penuelas, PR, on August 17, 1941 to her death on Sunday, she nourished people around her love of family, faith, and her art of cooking and gardening. She was born in a small wooden house on a hill, in Penuelas, to Maria del Carmen Barriera and Segundo Quinones. She was the fifth born of fourteen children. As one of the eldest children, she learned her art of cooking, her love of agriculture and nurturing of family. She moved to New Jersey where she met the love of her life, Wilfredo Gonzalez, and had three children. Following the death of her husband, she dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren.
Left to honor Aracelia and remember her legacy are her three children, Madelin Alba, Maria Diaz and Rigoberto Gonzalez; six grandchildren; Adrian Diaz, Jeremy Diaz, Andrew Diaz, D’Andrez Gonzalez, Rianna Gonzalez and Laila Gonzalez. Aracelia was preceded in death by her husband Wilfredo, parents, brother and two sisters. Aracelia will be remembered as a bright shining light and the glue that brought the family together in Puerto Rico, New Jersey and Florida.
The family will greet friends at Aracelia’s viewing from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Serenity Meadows, Riverview, FL. The church service will be held at Nativity Catholic Church, Brandon, FL at 11:00 am with a car procession to her final resting place, Serenity Meadows, Riverview FL.
The Gonzalez family would like to extend our gratitude to all her friends that supported her spiritual path, keeping her close to God and creating a circle of wonderful friendships.
